On 17 August 2018 Anton Bruckner’s 7th Symphony crowned the annual St. Florian Bruckner Festival in the great Basilica of St. Florian monastery in Upper Austria with the Festival Orchestra Altomonte under the baton of French conductor Rémy Ballot.

This VR concert production produced by Bellevue Virtual Media is the continuation of  THE BRUCKNER VR EXPIERIENCE, captured with the latest of 3D360° VR camera technology, and succeeding our 2017 production with Bruckner’s 5th. The complete symphony is offered as a Virtual Concert Hall experience in cooperation with Austrian consumer tech company Hartlauer in form downloadable on-demand content.

“Above all, he leaves a lot of people behind him, starting with Blomstedt, Haitink or Abbado despite their superior instrumental brilliance, and sends Barenboim’s Wagnerian routine back to the ropes …”, comments the renowned music newspaper Diapason on the up-and-coming conductor Rémy Ballot. With his qualities as an extraordinary orchestral performer and “sound magician”, the Paris-born and Vienna-based conductor attracts particular attention and receives the most important international record awards for his interpretations.
